Penzance Youth Market are joining the Penzance Charter Market on Nov 30th, Lights Switch On Day. With stalls in Market Jew Street, near Humphry Davy statue, young traders (ages ranging from 12 - 25yrs) will be selling quality handmade gifts and goodies, including jewellery, hoodies, dog toys, decorations, sweet treats, and more. Boundless Brothers will be running the Youth Market BuskStop and playing a set or two, with Wandering Winds, True Foxes, Joe Duke and Two Seconds to Penzance also bringing their own unique sounds to entertain you while you shop. If you fancy a go on the mic pop along at 3.30 and join in the fun!  2 - 6 pm Nov 30th Market Jew Street.

On Thursday the 5th of December at 4:30pm Fresh Barnet are holding a mini Christmas Market  providing Fresh Barnet & Basement Beauty products, offers and discounted gift vouchers. They are also joined by small local businesses. The Nature of Paper, Silver Sky Jewellery, Hocking Sewing, Kikie Cosmetics. They have several stall holders selling things from handmade Christmas cards and gift tags, perfumes, make up, knitted crafts, Christmas chutneys and foodie treats, glass art and hair accessories. A great way to shop local and unique Christmas gifts.

All welcome the event will be held in the salon from 4:30pm till 7:30pm.

There will also be a prize draw for everyone that attends. A free new year pamper package designed by Fresh Barnet & Basement Beauty is up for grabs.

Make Industries is situated on Market Jew Street. It is run by Sharon and Ian Holmes, a husband and wife team who first opened the shop in October 2014. It's the perfect place to find those unique and special Christmas gifts.

All items are Made in Cornwall and the shop sells works of art, crafts and food from over 40 local makers. The interior boasts a range of unique scaffolding furniture which is also for sale. Award-winning cookshop Hobbs celebrates success in Penzance with 25th Anniversary Prize Draw.

Causewayhead in Penzance has been the home of Hobbs the Kitchen Shop since its opening in 1994 by local businessman Jeremy Gilbert. For the last 25 years they have been providing the best in kitchen equipment to chefs and home cooks alike. Champions of local food and seasonal recipes, the girls in the shop are always happy to share their experience of the latest kitchenalia to hit the shelves.

The Edge of the World is Penzance's leading independent bookshop. They have a fantastic variety of volumes, from classic novels to quirky novelties, and plenty of local and Cornish books too. They also sell cards, stationary and gifts, and can very quickly order in any books that they don't have in stock.

They have a Christmas party to start the season in the shop on the 6th of December - they will have guest authors, signed books, wine and mince pies and there is a 10% discount on everything too.

Festive Markets in Penzance

Penzance BID will be holding Christmas markets in the town on the 30th November and 14th December.

The first festive market will take place on Saturday 30th November which is Christmas Lights Switch On day. The market will run from 12pm until 6pm. The market will be held inside at 9 Market Place (The old Dorothy Perkins Building).

There will also be a Youth Market from Pop Up Penzance. The Christmas Lights will be switched on at 5.30pm.

The second festive market will take place on Saturday 14th December which is also the day of The Humphry Davy Lantern Parade which will commence at 4.30pm. This market takes place from 2pm until 6pm.

The festive markets will be accompanied by music and entertainment throughout and there will be a variety of stalls from Arts and Crafts to Food and Drink.

There will also be a festive market as part of the Montol celebrations on Saturday 21st December, the market will be centered around Market House with a range of stalls and entertainment.
